“With God there isn’t a yesterday, today, or tomorrow. With Him there is this ever-present now.” -Chuck Swindoll
Earlier this year in February, I had the pleasure of experiencing Chuck Swindoll preach in person at the Linger Conference. The Linger Conference was an amazing time of rest, and I learned so much from wise and incredible teachers of the Word.
Through this message, I learned that God will not scream to get our attention, and I must make time in quietness to hear Him. Becoming like Christ happens through discipline over time. It’s not an over-night process.
In this message, Chuck speaks of four disciplines worth our time: Simplicity, Silence, Solitude, and Surrender
Simplicity- Cut the clutter in order to focus on the purpose God has for us
Silence- Slow down and stop. Take time to pause, think in silence of who God is and what He is doing. (“Be still and know that I am God” Psalms 46:10)
Solitude- Know what it’s like to be alone and be okay with spending time by yourself
Surrender- Trusting the Lord completely, removing worry, and living a life of surrender in each moment
I hope you enjoy this powerful message by Chuck Swindoll!
