This spring my family and I took a trip to Vail, Colorado. It was so nice to take a break from life and explore the wonders of this beautiful state. For some reason, I am absolutely in love with pine trees. When I see pine trees I think of the wild, untamed realm that they inhabit. I want to be so immersed in this place and never leave!
Have you ever been to a place that captures a piece of your heart that makes you want to stay forever? If so, what is that place for you? Pause for a moment and remember. Unfold that memory and let yourself go back to that place. Maybe that place is in the wilderness, or maybe it is a vacation with your friends, a concert festival, or an art gallery that took your breath away. Perhaps it is somewhere special with someone you love.
I think life is full of these little places that we tuck into our hearts hoping to visit again. Don’t forget those places because they are memories that bring you joy. Sometimes I can get so focused on my present place in life that I forget the little places of joy I found along the way. I never want to forget beautiful Vail and those tall, marvelous pine trees. Keep the places and people that bring you joy close to your heart and take time to remember them today.
